Community Building: To build a Bridge Community among like-minded people (primarily, but not limited to, Bengali-speaking diaspora).
Promotion: To promote the game by introducing new players to Contract Bridge.
Collective Learning: To improve skills through collective learning and shared experience.
Integrity: To provide a competitive environment focused on fair play.

History of GBG

Previous Name: Arizona Bridge Club League (AZBCL).
Founding: The Arizona Bridge Club was established on February 9, 2019, inspired by the Houston Bongobashi Bridge Club.
Global Expansion: We initiated the Global Bridge Group on WhatsApp to include interested players from around the world.
League Launch: Started the Team-Match League on June 8, 2020.
During the Pandemic: Hosted six tournaments in 2020 (growing from 4 to 11 teams). In 2021, we held five tournaments, expanding to 16 teams with many new members joining from Bangladesh.
Post-Pandemic: Resumed operations in 2025 after a three-year break under the new name Global Bridge League (GBL). Three tournaments were held in 2025 with 10 participating teams.
